efward Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 My Works dual rates with resevoirs were on my doorstep when I got home today. It felt like X-mas all over again. Better. So I'm looking at these things and it hits me: Where do I mount the resevoir? After looking at my frame I can see two obvious placement choices, but I'm not sold on either. Does anyone have a good example of where they mounted resevoirs? Just looking for ideas. Thanks. Quote
sandman121383 Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 depends on how long the lines are but i see alot of people put them somewhere on their frame up front. i'd say go to images and dig around for pictures with guys that have them on and maybe that'll give u a better idea or some other options. i myself have dbl rate like yours but W/O the rezzies lol wish i had em. i only weigh like 150 neways so i dunno if i would really need them. but good luck man! spoin39 Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 I mounted mine on the frame just above the shock. It kind of angles in toward the front but it works. The res hose faces forward. I purchased a set of K&K atv billet shock res mounts and looks sweet! A little pricey though, also you have to trim the front nose plastic a little for them but WTF! Quote
Blue Duece Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 Like these? i have a set i mounted like efward but i put the feed line for the rezzie forward, the front nose will cover them completly.....heres a pic you probally cant see them....... Quote
. Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 I ground the stock brakeline tabs off my frame and put the on the vertical frame post. Here's two pics to get an idea. You can see the top of the one on this pic. And here's how they're mounted from a side view. Quote
efward Posted January 21, 2004 Author Report Posted January 21, 2004 It's kinda hard to tell from those pictures. Are the rezzies mounted upside down there? Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 I've got mine mounted similar to those in the pictures, excetp mine are not hidden under the plastic as I need to be able to reach the abjuster knob, I got my clamps from http://www.atv4play.com if I could figure out how to post pictures here I'd post the ones I have lets see if this works... spoin39 Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 Yes, mine look just like ledofthezep. Hey dunedemon: I know this is off topic but where did you get the IMS bumper? Ihave had DG, Duncan, AC, and a PRM but I like yours the best, can I get it chrome or polished? Thanks Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 spoin39, I got the bumper from IMS, pictures show how it came from them (zinc plated I think) but it is aluminum so you could polish / chrome it. Dunedemon. Quote
fixitrod Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 I hoping this works. This is probably the most common way to mount the front. Hope you can see them. If you look between the pipe and the shock you can see the resivoir. Quote
evil Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 i got mine all tucked and lean. went to mckenzies offroad and bought some sand rail resi clamps, 40.00 bucks vs the 80 to 100 the shock companys want and mounted it on the down tube of the frame in front of the radiator. cans sit in the air duct and it helps them stay cool. 00BANSHEE Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 I installed mine where the instructions showed. Quote
