spoin39 Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Replace the shift rod and spring, mine sticks in between gears sometimes and the shifter is the culprit for me. Quote
bkabina Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Check all the little pins on the shift star too.I have seen seen those get worn down enough were the shift shaft would slip off instead off rolling it into gear. Quote
0Banshee1 Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Hey I had the same problem, I could only shift into first and netural. I tore the engine down and found out lastnight that one of the gears would not slide into place. I pulled the gears off till i got to the bad one and found out the shaft it slides on a 2 little marks which made it get caught. I pulled that gear off and sanded everything back down and now all gears are working. Quote
