Is your Banshee completely Stock? No, a CDI from an older Banshee will not work because the plugs are different from year to year and only the 02-06 are the same.

Yes its stock

So your Banshee is completely stock. So, No aftermarket exhaust or air filter? Now your clutch lever has 2 operating functions 1st is for clutch operation and the 2nd is for the parking brake. There’s a switch that’s in the clutch Perch that has wires that plugs into the harness. See if that is unplugged. If that is plugged in it will affect the way your CDI works and will make your Banshee run shit. Almost like what you are describing. It’s harder trying to diagnose a Banshee problem over the internet than it is in person.
