Hockey390 Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 I just saw a picture of a quad for sale on ebay that had a clear clutch cover. Does anyone know where to get one? Quote

Direct Drive CNC can modify your clutch case side, and provide you with the clear cover if I remember correctly. Quote

ledofthezep Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Yeah....I know I've seen it on here before. And if I remember right it was from a frequent poster....but for the life of me I can't think of the username. Quote
cheezehead Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Ya I've been trying to figure out who that was who did it as well Quote
BdBanshee Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 The clear stock stator cover was from Minkia38. Quote
cheezehead Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 I ended doing my own I just have to make a seal for it now and I'm done. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 one of my friends has one but it will be a while untill I see him...The clear clutch cover is cool because when he broke a seal we sould see the coolant in his oil.. I guess you get to watcht he oil turn black also Quote
Minkia38 Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 yes sir bd, it was me who made the clear STATOR cover, MDH also has made one or 2 mine was just cut out and epoxyied up - but it hold up fine and looks awesome heres apic on my rzbanshee i have about 4 extra covers - and I plan on making some more up and selling them on ebay soon, but i just never did it.... Checkmate Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 i have a queston about these..... what does the clear insert sit up against?? i'm sure you can't just cut a hole in the cover and then fit the same size clear insert in the hole....it would fall in. so do you mill a 'lip' in the cover that the insert sits on so that it doesn't fall through?? and besides looking cool, does this mod give you any benefit besides making sure your flywheel is still spinning Quote
Minkia38 Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 well, if ya know me, youd know that I like to have stuff on my banshee that no-one else does! hence the mod - plus with my lightened slotted flywheel (thanks banshee worx) it looked badass in there all polished up and stuff. But now I have that rz350 motor in there, i cant use my cool flywheel anymore, so now Im back to the regular old one..... Quote
Checkmate Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 i agree...i like the looks of it !! can you answer my other questions on how to seat the insert. i was thinking i would have to mill a lip. but since you've done it i thought i would ask first before phucking it up. thanks Quote
