FoxBansheeRacing Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 I have always ran Yamalube in my bike 32:1. I'm going riding today and wont be able to get any, so I have to use Castrol. I looked in my manual last night and it said to run Yamalube 24:1 and Castrol 20:1. What ratio should I put the Castrol in at? Since I know I will be putting 20 ounces into 5 gallons regularly, I was thinking about just bumping that down to around 18 ounces. What you guys think? Please help ASAP. Thanks. Quote
ruff_rida69 Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 if it was me I would run it the same as you did the yamalube, but i wouldn't switch your oil to offten, just try to stay with one oil, and you should be alright this one time, i wouldn't worry about it, as long as you don't go back and forth and use different oils everytime you ride it. Holyman Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 I's stick with the same ratio's too. Quote
Big Blue Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Make sure you drain the gas with the yamalube in it or run it out dont mix the two together. Quote
mattmans1983 Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Amsoil @ 50:1 premix is perfect. Its a fully synthetic oil. I love this stuff. There is not possible harm in swithing to this. You use alot less oil with the same lubing capabilities then just drop your main jets one size because obviously you'll be running to rich then.Thats AMSOIL SERIES 2000 full sythetic oil Quote
FORMULASPEED Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 TC-W3 is that the AMS oil you are talkin about? Quote
