Banshee getting no spark

Recommended Posts

So I washed my banshee and blow dried it with leaf blower and wiped it down. It started after, and I was adjusting carbs (air fuel screw) started it killed it and 30 seconds later it wouldn’t start. I reset carbs to how they were, and then I figured out there’s no spark. I tested the resistance, and all connections are good except for the ignition coil one (red and green). Do I need a new stator? I have a brand new wiring harness.

Sounds like you have something still wet or you might want to remove the stator cover and look to see if there’s any water or moisture inside the stator cover.

already did it didnt look like there was any water. i think my only 3 options are to replace stator or voltage regulator or cdi box...

To save yourself from a massive headache only buy OEM replacement electrical parts. Yes the OEM parts are expensive as fu*k but it’s better then playing games with junk aftermarket electrical parts. Also if you know someone who has a Banshee that is the same year as yours you can try switching the parts out. You also might want to check your switch that’s on the handle bar to see if that switch didn’t go bad or even if you still have the key switch to see if that didn’t go bad also.
