Carb slide rotating inside carb

My right side carb slide is rotating inside the carb when I give the bike gas and ends up sitting on top of the air mixture screw and not coming back down flush. Any ideas why that could be?

Should be a guide to keep it from spinning. Is it in correct direction ? Which way is cut out facing. Idle screw?

iirc one of these bosses, has a flat vertical guide pressed in it, that sticks inside the slide bore. that rides in the slide slot, to keep it from spinning.

Thanks for the pic. cut out is facing the rear of the bike and the dot thing is in the window as well. Slide goes all the way down flush when I initially put it in and after I adjust it after it rotates so I’m pretty positive it’s in correctly. I will have to check that guide tomorrow that helps a lot thanks.
