got1banshee Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 How does the -2 swing arm do in the sand? I was told that it sucks but it is awsome riding everywhere else. Quote
eehsnab2 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Depends on your mods... If I tried that I'd be on my ass all day! Quote
ripinlips Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I don't like mine in the sand. Probably just my riding style or something but I still prefer my +4 at the dunes. I use my -2 everywhere else though. I've seen some FAST bikes at LS with -2s on them and it didn't seem to slow them down any. You'll probably just have to try it and see how you like it. thanks Quote

ripinlips Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Its not bad after you do it a couple dozen times. Just make sure you have 2 chains, 1 for each swingarm. It's cheaper than having 2 different quads. Quote
eehsnab2 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I think it is a pain in the ass... learn what you like to ride. Quote
Banchetta Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Its not the terrain so much as to what type of tire your using.....The sand tires have a lot more hook and will have a harder time taking off hard on sand w/ sand tires w/o wheeling.......I'd stay w/ stock length w/ sand tires, but will take the -2 swingarm anyday w/ knobby tires, no matter what kind of knobby you have..
