I don't like mine in the sand. Probably just my riding style or something but I still prefer my +4 at the dunes. I use my -2 everywhere else though. I've seen some FAST bikes at LS with -2s on them and it didn't seem to slow them down any. You'll probably just have to try it and see how you like it. thanks

Isn't it a pain in the ass changing them out all the time?

Its not the terrain so much as to what type of tire your using.....The sand tires have a lot more hook and will have a harder time taking off hard on sand w/ sand tires w/o wheeling.......I'd stay w/ stock length w/ sand tires, but will take the -2 swingarm anyday w/ knobby tires, no matter what kind of knobby you have..
