Carrier?

Are all round house bearing carriers the same? ie can i put my 40mm shaft in my stock size axle carrier by just changing bearings & seals?

The 6908 should replace the 6007. but jj&a specifically says 6908 are not to convert,  just to replace existing 40 m.m.

They both are 62m.m. o.d. unless they are worried about the 2m.m. width difference.

I wouldnt think that would be an issue...but maybe
