help Radiator water keeps going to the back tank

I stopped my banshee because i noticed a sound from the radiator. I checked the back water tank it was dry. Then opened the radiator, noticed i could stuff my whole finger in there before touching the water. I added water and it kept emptying more precisely going to the backward tank. What should i do?

Sounds like your overheated and your radiator is boiling over into your recovery tank. Check your cooling system esp if you have a stock impeller.

Bad cap, hoses routed wrong, over heating, leaking head gasket.

Nothing you said made any sense.

Did you open it hot?

Did you start with a full reservoir?

When filling the radiator did the coolant go immediately to the reservoir? Or after it cooled?

immediately to the reservoir, yes it was hot but not full

Fill it and start it with the cap off while everything is cold. Should be moving in there but if it’s bubbling up forcefully like it’s pressurized it could be a bad head gasket or any of what hopped up mentioned. Do you have any funny smelling or white smoke out of your exhaust?

the problem is the reservoir is half filled now

Doesn’t matter what’s in the reservoir, empty it if you want. It’s supposed to be a recovery system so it spits it in there hot but when it cools down it’s supposed to suck back in to your radiator. IMO throw it away it’s not your problem. Check the things mentioned there is a reason your spewing coolant

i think the bike was hot thats why it got sucked backwards

Sounds like you figured it out, put cold water in it and you should be good 👍
