Just putting my driveline crank in and noticed here’s a oring where the bearing retainer goes on the clutch side bearing. Do I just leave it like that or take the oring off and put the retainer in?a3181acccdfb9f2428926bf916820b3d.jpg

If they were an issue I would think driveline would have removed them or said they should be removed. They are probably fine but, I prefer the clip with some bearing retainer compound at it physically prevents the crank being pulled by the helical gears.

Should use a retainer there.

An old school "upgrade" on higher HP setups is to use 2 retainers.

HQ sponsor F.A.S.T. Racing offers a full bearing clip option also but I prefer the two clip method.
