2k7cheeta Posted January 4, 2021 Report Posted January 4, 2021 Just putting my driveline crank in and noticed here’s a oring where the bearing retainer goes on the clutch side bearing. Do I just leave it like that or take the oring off and put the retainer in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
ATV_hub Posted January 4, 2021 Report Posted January 4, 2021 If they were an issue I would think driveline would have removed them or said they should be removed. They are probably fine but, I prefer the clip with some bearing retainer compound at it physically prevents the crank being pulled by the helical gears. Quote
the boris Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 That o ring is 20 cents and clip is $5.If you have retainer, replace the o ring. Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Tedder Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 Should use a retainer there. An old school "upgrade" on higher HP setups is to use 2 retainers. HQ sponsor F.A.S.T. Racing offers a full bearing clip option also but I prefer the two clip method. Quote
