New project but cracked case

Recommended Posts

That redo dude parts out shee's by the 100s every day. He dont work on them other than to make a quick buck. Don't get hung up on what he told you. Some reputable guys on here suggested tearing cases apart, then clean em, weld em and your good to go. Id listen to that advice.

any reputable machine shop with a tig welder could fix that in 15min. take it apart and clean oil the best u can. theyll do the rest

Yeah I’m just being lazy really I don’t wanna tear down the whole motor because if I do I might as well refresh it or just rebuild it completely. If I could get it welded without of taking it apart I’ll be happy but that’s in another dimension, I have no choice but to take it apart.

I know it sucks but for a 500 project that runs take it apart, fix it right and be on done with it, no worrying about it anymore.

Yeah I guess it’s my only option. to be honest it’s the only real option.
