It's all good

I use a leak test to look for BIG leak, not small stuff.

So you think my new top end will be fine if I run it like this?

On the top and bottom of both reed blocks. Not sure if between boot and block or block and cylinder. It also has a ton of little bubbles coming around some of the holes that the mounting bolts go in. I wasn’t shy with gasket maker either. Shit still leaks though 😡

Clean and redo.

The mistake i did was to not wait enough time before testing.

How long let you set the gaskett maker??

Sat for at least 2 days. Put it on and forgot about it. I’ll give it another try, but this will be the 3rd or 4th attempt. After that i might just give it away

Did you put gasket sealer on the bolts does not need much.

I did NOT put sealer on bolts! Maybe this is my problem. Didn’t think about doing that at all. Also, I took your advice on getting frame powder coated. I love the colors

I bet if half the people with healthy running bikes pressure tested their motors they would have little leaks here and there.  With that said, use 3 bond on every surface if it bothers you that much.  cylinder face, both sides of 1st gasket, on reed block perimeter, and both faces of the last gasket.

Besides finishing up the intakes I just have to do some shining on the aarms and on my t6s. It won’t be a show piece by any means but I’ll be happy with it for now haha. Here’s how the silver vein came out:5a9f2accc0506a44af2bf667bdf74bef.jpg
