Dmac68 Posted April 1, 2019 Report Posted April 1, 2019 I am in the process of getting my banshee motor back together. This was a barn find so what’s been done was unknown before i bought it. I purchased a clutch pack for FAST to put in it. When I pulled the old clutch pack out found a few things wrong. It has a Hinson Racing basket in it. But I found the thrust washer between the clutch boss and basket missing, I found the O-ring behind the clutch basket missing and the cushion ring/rings missing. I also found that the main bolt holding the basket on was loose. The parts missing are #13,#15, #17 on the diagram. Did someone leave this out for a reason? Should I put everything back per the diagram in the repair manual? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have attached photos for reference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
kawa110 Posted April 1, 2019 Report Posted April 1, 2019 13 no, 17 no. 15 yes. O rings are preference. No one usually uses them. Should have/need the spacer though Add chariot pancake bearing pusher. Quote
375hp banshees Posted April 1, 2019 Report Posted April 1, 2019 Might want to hit up camatv iirc the hinson had issues ( think it can be addressed iirc?) Quote
Ayesully810 Posted April 1, 2019 Report Posted April 1, 2019 (edited) wtf is that thing after the lock nut on the clutch hub?? i used a hinson without any issues in the past, but im sure youve figured it out by now, that the order of operations for the clutch is: big washer, basket bushing, clutch basket, big washer again, clutch hub (boss), lock washer and nut, clutch pack, pressure plate with springs and bolts.
