Betojrz80 Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 Hey there, so I’m looking into buying a swing arm in the next few weeks. I’m building a 04 banshee with a 4 mill 421. I’m looking to making the 4mill into a dune bike, but I want to still have fun at the drags. What would u guys recommend? Quote
martin059 Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 Swingarmshop on eBay I just got one for around $275 +4 powered black looks really nice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Betojrz80 Posted January 1, 2019 Author Report Posted January 1, 2019 Nice, I was looking into a 4-6”. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 For a rider bike, I'd go +4. Quote
martin059 Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 Loco ‘s right +4 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Betojrz80 Posted January 1, 2019 Author Report Posted January 1, 2019 I appreciate the info! Some guy was telling me to go with a +10. That guy was tripping! Quote
Ayesully810 Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 10? lol get a 4, it will help with keeping the front end down at a drag strip on the sand. I have a stock length arm and launching at the drag strip is hard because im fighting the front end down until 5th gear. Also, JL engineering makes nice arms for a good price, id contact JL engineering, stellar racing or fireball, JL will be the cheapest out of the 3 with nice quality. 1 Quote
97Screamer Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 Swingarm shop arms are junk if you're actually going to dune it. Also, upgrade to a roundhouse carrier style while you're at it. 1 Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 If I was going to dune it, I would run a Fireball or Stellar. My duner has a Stellar. Quote

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk With the stock carrier adjustment, it is easy to misalign the axle which lead to your bike crabwalking and/or broken chains. Even when properly aligned, the adjusters can walk around somewhat, especially with higher power motors. If you've ever adjusted a chain with a roundhouse you'll never touch a stock one again. 1 Quote

They have a history of breaking on anything that gets ridden more than a drag bike. Quote
Ayesully810 Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 x2 martin wish you would have texted me before you bought that thing lol those stock carriers are complete junk and not to mention a PAIN!!! to adjust the chain. Quote
martin059 Posted January 1, 2019 Report Posted January 1, 2019 I knew I should asked you guys for some suggestions before I went and bought from swingarmshop I haven’t mounted it. I’m gonna see what I can do to return it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
