I have am 01 shee I bought and it has a cool head, I need to know what size domes I have so I can order my single carb setup. Which brings me to my next question. What is an eek needle pertaining to a single carb?057e2653ba2d8f6b1f353ed56e96417a.jpg

Most domes have info scribed on the side. Otherwise you have to put a sparkplug in it and fill it with water and put a flat plate across the top. Must be completely full. And measure the volume.

 

Needles have different tapers that change the amount of fuel flow. They are designated by a 3 letter combination.

Pull the head and look at the numbers etched in the edge. Some are done by a machine, and some are hand etched. If it's hand etched it'll probably be a 3 part number. 

 

EEK needle is the typical go to needle for the 2/1 carb set ups. Over the years it has proven to fix the mid range stutter/hick up that is associated with 2/1 carb set ups on banshees. That is a Keihin needle though. So make sure you get a keihin carb and the info to sort it out will be out there as there has been numerous fella's sorting them out over the years.
