need some TRI-Z250 info

Recommended Posts

I always liked the way they looked. I'm not sure there's as much aftermarket shit as a 250R. How much money is he wanting is the question.

Post up some pics. Idk all depends. They were once popular, and still have a pretty strong following I think. If it's all there, and clean. I'd buy it fuck it. Title? No....fuck it I'd still buy it for that just to have....If it's all there, and clean.

The tri z is nostalgic for sure but unless you know what you are doing leave the engine as oem as possible. I am building an 85 motor for a customer right now. The tri z doesn't do well with static comp over 175. The cooling system on that bike makes a banshee look like state of the art. Also make sure that the kickstarter and gear set is in good working order. They are notorious for exploding and busting the kick side case which is rare as hens teeth. If you are looking for reliability and something to put high hp to, look for a 3rd gen 250r. Also, parts availability, especially aftermarket is pretty much nill for the z.
