My chick is getting a legacy kit for her shee. She only wants to drop a G and it's the perfect kit for this. But it's got me thinking maybe I should use this to go long travel. My stage 4 elkas are high/low compression, rebound and preload adjustable. Legacy are not as adjustable, but could give me more travel. My gut tells me to roll with the better shocks and leave everything alone, but long travel would be titties. With all my other hobbies, and only riding about every 3 months, I can't justify going long travel AND forking out even more money for better shocks, well better than the legacy elkas anyway. So I would give her my shocks, and she would order hers, I will be ordering them, and we would get them 20" long instead of the standard 14.5". So... Better shocks standard travel, or LT and less adjustable shocks. And the shocks come from another company that rebuilds to my specs. So not the normal hit or miss shit direct from elka.

I was wondering if the additional travel would be better, even though the shocks aren't as adjustable. But I really like my Elkas. Just cant justify dropping $2500 on long travel right now.

My fireball racing long travels use the elka 19.5ish long shocks for the front. It's a monster truck clearance mixed with a pterodactyl front wing span compared to stock shocks/arms.
