All the ohm specs are in that link I posted.

But still best to change it out with a known good one.

You may not have hooked up a wire, or it's not tight. Çheck pick-up gap at flywheel nubs, .018 . Is the old Stator so bad you can't even try it?

Key and kill switch in run position ??

I did try the old stator, key and kill switch are on, everything is hooked up, plugged in where it is supposed to be. The gap I haven't checked will do so this afternoon after work.

Well, go back through everything. Make sure everything is clean and tight. No rubbed bare wires. Figure out how to bypass both switches. Check leads to coil and coil ground.
