Pwk carbs ? Cheap Chinese ?

Hello,

 

Looking at getting some 28mm pwk carbs for a mild build. See keihin kits for 325 with the cable , also saw some other pwk's, koso, and others shipping from China. One person is selling polished ones on live auctions on flea bay, but looked at the pictures and they say PWK and 28 on the side, not no keihin logo ? I am assuming they are junk, but anyone have any experience with these ? The box says keihin, But can't be real, or good for 150 to 225 for the set. Any info would help.

Ive got a pair of carbs from 2 YZ85s, & replaced the internals, for half that price.

^^^same here. Do some research, PWK's come stock on a number of bikes. But yeah, be carefull of the knock off's

I think pwk 28 came stock on Kawi 125.

I think the one's I bought were advertised as coming off of KX dirt bike's. KX 80 or 100 can't remember for sure.

Went back and looked, one was from a KX80 2002-2005, and one was from a 2003 RM 100

I think pwk 28 came stock on Kawi 125.

Too small. They use bigger carbs on the 125+

I would be interested if anyone has a pair to sell, I don't mind cleaning them, but if I have to rebuild them, might as well buy new. Thanks

The ones I have had good luck with are the 28 and 30mm OKO brand chinese carbs that are pwk knockoffs. They can be had for under $100 a set.

Im running a set of chrome flat slide 28mm pwk carbs .I have not had any issues with them at all . only thing I don't like about them is the plastic idle screw . But you can change it out to an easy adjust metal idle screw .

I'm not a fan of the metal idle screws. The slide slamming down on that will eventually dent the slide.

A plastic screw will dent over the slide. Just a personal preference and I may not even be right, but just something to be mindful of.

Good point . never thought about that . I changed mine to metal soon as I got them . I have had them for over a year . no sighn of denting the slide as far as I can see . but good point sheerider something to keep an eye on .
