Need some advice, toasted my crankshaft lower rod bearing last trip out. Changing my setup, and would like some advice.
Here is what I had.
4 mill long rod
Stock bore, aggressive port (drag)
35 mm mikuni carbs, billet intakes with boost bottle.
CPI in frames
Cool head, 19 domes
Ran 50%110 race fuel and 50% pump premium.
4 inch extended swingarm.
Here is where I am going.
New 4 mil long rod crankshaft
Trued and welded by redline, updated bearings.
Pro mod trans (redline)
421 serval with mild dune port
Driveline performance 22 domes
Driveline clutch
Hinson complete set up.
Pro design billet impeller
I want to run pump premium, and just play in the dunes mostly. I drag race once in a while, but nothing serious.
Should I switch to 33pwk's instead of 35 's
I have billet intakes now with a boost bottle, should I switch to a Mattoon or other one piece billet intake with the built in crossover ? Do those work ok ? Fuel lines are tight with the boost bottle and cpi's.
I just want it to run good, and have some good power, but be dependable. Tired of f'ing with the four strokes.
Any input, advice, suggestions ( other than to go F myself) would be appreciated.
When the build is done, i will also ask for jetting help.
