When i bought it, the Kid said he replaced pistons/rings each season and also said that the jugs were sport ported. Never been honed, stock size.

 

I just took some pics, looks good to me for 2006 jugs, will measure the cyl this afternoon.

 

Will map it soon.

Is it usuall to have more wear in the exhaust/intake axis than the other way?

 

I'm buying drveline serval like jugs anyway but I think I will send my oem one for an oversize and keep them as a backup

Yes, think in terms of how the crank/rod/piston motion is. On the down stroke it's tugged down but also the rod is being slung back toward the intake and on th up stroke it's being thrown up, but also a bit toward the exhaust. That's why you see the egg shaped bores on motors with more hours. To help combat that issue, the common solution is a longer for to create less angle so there is less fore & aft thrust.
