NRA
Hello all. I am new here and have done much researc. I just picked up a 06 very clean. Stock motor, only mods are pro circuit platinum exhaust, boost bottle, pro design intake w kn, tors delete. I'm having an issue w a low end bog during initial clutch release. Have to really get her singing in order to take off or she bogs hard and wants to stall. I suspected the carbs needed to be cleaned and possibly a clogged pilot, so I ran a compression check and both cyl were 125. Then proceeded to clean and inspect carbs. Did not see anything in the jets or carbs that was like "ahhh here we go" .... Mains are 280 and pilots are 25. Put her back together to same results. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance
sheerider11
Bring the air screws all the way in and see if it helps. If it does then get a27.5 pilot and bring the screws 2.5 out. See how it reacts.
NRA
Thanks for your reply sheerider. Just picked this machine up, it was in storage for the past three years and has little use. The tors delete was installed by a Yamaha dealer and has the added idle screw kit installed. Does this make any difference on your instructions? hoppedupandcutdown
Thanks for your reply sheerider. Just picked this machine up, it was in storage for the past three years and has little use. The tors delete was installed by a Yamaha dealer and has the added idle screw kit installed. Does this make any difference on your instructions? No, and just to be clear - he said air screws, not idle screws.

NRA
Turned the air screws in all the way and it helped tremendously. Got home to late to make it to the local shop to grab those jets, but am getting them in the am and will proceed w the 27.5's and 2.5 out. Then report back. Thanks again
NRA
Finally got my 27.5's installed and air screws started at 2.5. Same results. Moved to 2 then 1.5 with same results. Thinking possible air leak or needle adjustment. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance
Larry's Shee
boost bottle, e If that isn't your problem, some day it will be.
NRA
It has a white bros bottle on it. Are guys just running the regular cross over pipe? I was hoping the jets and pilot air screw would take care of this issue. Thinking the needle may need to come down one clip....

Larry's Shee
I just used some PVC caps that fit the carb boots. Installed with three bond and clamps. It showed some cracking and started leaking about 4yrs later.
NRA
So I removed the dynojet needles and installed the factory needles in middle clip, seemed to help a lot. Pilot screws ended at 1 turn out. I think the one turn out is due to the winter weather, and it being 30 outside.
