I got this basket in a tot of parts, looks like it was rubbing on something. I was wondering if it's shot or maybe useable.. Its grooved around the basket as you can see. Just need some input

Meh, first issue is making sure you have the matching primary gear that goes on the crank snout. The basket is self doesn't look so hot. The mark outside isn't a big deal, but the chatter grooves in the fingers are a bit of an issue. They make engagement of the clutch feel very chattery or clunky. You may be able to file some of the inner finger to smooth it out, but ultimately a new basket would be best.

It's a billet basket so I didn't know if it was salvageable, but thanks for the input. As far as primary gear are you talking about the small one on the crank?

It's always going to line up.

But there are numbers scribbed on each. Take the 2 and divide them I believe and that'll give you gear lash. It needs to be within a certain spec as per the manual

Doesn't seem too bad might just be from being in a tot... So if I decide to file the fingers down do I do the whole finger til groove is gone?
