Hey guys,

I have a white fullbore front hood that I want in a gloss black.  What is the best option without breaking the bank?

Plasti-coat looks too dull.  I want a gloss finish.

The mobil paint repair guy wants $200 to do an "average" job.

The cheap body shop wants $300 to do a base coat with clear.

Krylon Fusion looks to be a good option but reviews have been mixed although most have been on regular ATV fenders that flex more than the Fullbore ones.

I am tempted to just wet sand the white paint and hit it with Krylon Fusion.  Any help/options/or ideas are appreciated.

I dont know of a spray can that can really put a nice glossy finish. Although ive never tried either.

Your best bet would be a real base/clear job. If done right, it will look light years better then anything else and last as well.

Thanks guys.  I will hold off on the rattle can then.  What is a fair price for a base/clear job?  Can I do the prep myself or should I just have them do it all?
