Even a completely dead or close to it battery can be revived with distilled water and epsom salt then trickle charged.

Batteries can only go bad a few ways usually damaged plates, sulfation and low water.

How many miles are on your truck?

54k.

Note that the manifold bolts he's taken out were not from this truck but from his job at my other business.

Little update on the my 6.4. After having it apart and being able to visually inspect the internals I went ahead and turned my tuner up to street mode. I had never intended on doing it because it ran fine on tow but I had several guys tell me I wouldn't see any mileage improvements until I bumped it up to street. They were right, I've got right at 1,000 miles on it since I replaced the head gaskets and installed head studs. I turned it up before I pulled it out of the shop. Averaging 11 mpg now which is 1.5 better than this truck had ever gotten and that's a towing number. Feels like it runs easier too.

Lol. It was never really slow. Damn thing has plenty of power. It's setup for towing though.

no i haven't, it is the only powerstroke i haven't drove.

but it was a joke. normally the street tune is going to make more power than tow tune. so more power means it should be faster.

If you get the chance, do so. Night and day different and more fun then a tuned 7.3 or 6.0. They just flat move, with very impressive throttle response too.

I was getting your humor. Those tuners and motors just react so much differently and better then previous generations, it's and eye opener.

Sounds like your riding buddies 6.0 had pretty mild tuning.

Our 6.0 rips compared to our modded 7.3.

The 6.4 will show pretty considerable gains over a tuned 6.7. A 6.7 will require more work then just a tuner to get the same gains.

The 6.4s run real good........ if you can keep them in one piece. Lol.

In other 6.4 news - last weekend a neighbor kid and myself did some scientific testing to test the strength of the intercooler boots on his 6.4 F250. Turns out 4 out of 4 blow at 75 lbs of boost.

Maybe the 450 can keep up with the Dodge now.

Fuck, I'd have to buy an ultra light aluminum enclosed trailer for that to happen. No wonder that thing pulls so good. You could probably pull it with Laceys Honda.
