jayzx10r Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 I purchased this new Serval cylinder last year and its first run was over the last Halloween dune kick off at Glamis. I think I made five or six trips out the season, so it has very little use.Porting flash cleaned up by a buddy of mine that builds race engines for motorcycles who also has a lot of 2 stroke experience as well. The domes and pistons have ZERO carbon buildup... No, I didn't clean them up! Ran with Yamalube 2r.Pump gas domes from Redline, Wiseco 68mm pistons/rings are for a long rod 4mil crank. Stud extenders, new head studs, plugs are Yama bonded in place.Parts & nikasil look great, no surprises... A couple of small scratches that any new cylinder would have after a short period of runtime.Cylinders are painted with actual Yamaha paint so they look stock ish from a distance. LolI'm looking for $900 obo head not included. newer head studsYou cover paypal fees, I'll cover shipping.Jay. 1 Quote
jayzx10r Posted July 9, 2015 Author Report Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) My sale doesn't include the head... it's just there to hold the domes for the pic!! The head studs are newer... they were new when I did the build. Edited July 9, 2015 by jayzx10r Quote
Strm Trpr Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Damn... I was gonna pull the trigger on that purchase right now!! Is that a Mattoon head? So, cylinders, pistons and domes for $950 and it's not ported by any stretch? What are your plans? What are you going to do now?421 Cub? Quote
jayzx10r Posted July 9, 2015 Author Report Posted July 9, 2015 That's a Chariot head. Going back to a stock cyl 4 mil ported by Redline.Tired of burning my legs on my CPI's so they're gonna go too! Back to Fatty's!! BTW: The price was supposed to be $900, OBO but I can't get back in to change it.... Quote
Strm Trpr Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 May I ask why you're going back to a stk cyl 4 mil? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Redline build. I'm torn between the Serval or a 4mil stk cyl. If Serval, I'll run Snipers. I burnt the shit out of my legs on my T5's last trip to Pismo. I was riding in my convertible riding shorts/pants. First 5 mins of carving the dunes, two 2nd degree burns on my right leg. Quote

Abe Posted July 10, 2015 Report Posted July 10, 2015 Sale me a set of heel guards hp to aid in the funding ? Free bump Quote
jayzx10r Posted July 10, 2015 Author Report Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) Would you sell the domes? Probably not. I'd recommend you contact Redline Racing directly and have him send you a custom set. They are ridiculously inexpensive and would meet your needs perfectly. Edited July 10, 2015 by jayzx10r Quote
Strm Trpr Posted July 10, 2015 Report Posted July 10, 2015 Would you sell the domes? Buy your own domes from Redline, they're only $85. What part of "421 Serval used one season top end kit f/s" don't you understand? Quote
