locogato11283 Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Like I said, it's not likely you're going to notice any difference between +4 and +7. If you're racing competitive shit, then run it at +7. If you're just dicking around run it at +4. Quote
extreem9 Posted June 8, 2015 Author Report Posted June 8, 2015 Yeah that's why I way figuring +6 I don't race but I love coming up out of the hill shots FULL throttle 3rd gear! Quote
extreem9 Posted June 8, 2015 Author Report Posted June 8, 2015 Besides more bottom end, do you think it will be a large hp/tq difference from my old stock aggressive dune ported cylinders on 110 as well? Quote
dirtydownunder Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 It will be a noticeable difference and will get on the pipe much sooner. prolly 10-15hp/tq up from ya ss 1 Quote
LaegerEliminator Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 I noticed a considerable difference in timing changes from +4 to +7 on my old motor. Stock cylinder, 5 mil crank, 66 mil bores on VP C12. Duncan 403 Eliminator motor. I will be finding out later this summer how the differences feel on my 5 mil Redline Serval. I will be curious on your feed back once yours is up and running. Quote
Strm Trpr Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Redline 421 Serval on race gas = +5*. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/178758-redline-421-race-gas-serval/ Quote
extreem9 Posted June 8, 2015 Author Report Posted June 8, 2015 Almost 100 hp on a four mill.... Incredible! Quote
sleeper06 Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Why stAy with the 5 mill just curious? Quote
LaegerEliminator Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Why stAy with the 5 mill just curious?1: I already had that crank from my previous build, which was a billet unit from Crank Works. 2: My understanding is 5 mil is the max you can go before having to trench the cases. 3: I felt 5 mil would be just right for my riding applications. pp13bnos Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 I don't know if you finished it or not, but Cam setup my 7 mill duner at +5, on 110. If it where me, I'd start at 5, and then move upto 6, then 7. And see if you can tell a difference. My worthless .02 1 Quote
