markjohnson151 Posted May 8, 2015 Author Report Posted May 8, 2015 Since I bought it with this setup would it be more than likely that the crank is welded since all these parts are on it? Quote
98_sheester Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 I mean if someone new better thay might have but you never know with some ppl Quote
markjohnson151 Posted May 8, 2015 Author Report Posted May 8, 2015 I completely understand with you. there is nothing like jumping into something you have no clue what the last person did. thats why on here trying to piece all the info together. Quote
98_sheester Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 Id ask sleeper06 if he can tell by pics if you take it out but if not i hear he can weld it for you for a good price Quote
bigweav81 Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 I couldn't see how anyone could tell if a crank is trued, and welded by looking at it while being mounted in cases. I guess you could remove your waterpump, and primary gear.......cut/ rip your seal out, and look....but then your splitting your cases anyways. Maybe I'm wrong. You can tell if your crank is stock by the rods.# Quote
98_sheester Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 I ment to say if he took it out and took pics but yeah they should be 110 rods correct Quote
bigweav81 Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 Depends, and if it's out yes very easy to tell if it's welded. Quote
98_sheester Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 Im pretty sure mine are 110 but ill need mine welded after the season Quote
bigweav81 Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 I'm sure they are. I've changed a few out that had different #s. Should be changing one next week. I'll take pics. I remember the first time I had mine out, and thought why the fuck doesn't it say 110. May have just been some cheap replacement idk. Quote
98_sheester Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 Oh ive never taken mine out yet so its gonna be a learning curve Quote
bigweav81 Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 It's a simple ordeal really. A lot of people over think it in my opinion. Quote
98_sheester Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 I feel like it should be pretty simple im mechanically inclined Quote
markjohnson151 Posted May 11, 2015 Author Report Posted May 11, 2015 Ok so I got my stock pistons and jugs and now I'm just waiting on the 22cc domes for my cool head. I took apart the carbs and there is 360 main and 25 pilot. I just received my 310 mains today. My question is the 25 pilot to small to where i need something bigger? Thanks for all the help. I'm almost there. Quote
