Killer_Shee Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 That was just changed for the 2004 season tx, hence the yfz450 being 440cc. Honda's pull in the sport is undoubtedly what changed that rule for the 2004 season as well. Quote
Meat Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I am a HUGE fan of GNCC. www.gnccracing.com Brandon Ballance won the afternoon overall on the first race in' 03(Florida) Tim Farr races GNC, thats MX racing. Bill Ballance won the overall this year, thats 4 years in a row for him. Chris Borich came in second overall, he'll be running the #2 plate next season, borich is from Sunbury, 15-20 miles from my house. Traci Cecco tied with Stephanie Parton for the Womens' class overall this year. Traci was the Women's champ in '01, Parton was the Womens champ in '02 and this year, '03, and they tied the overall #1 spot, so they will share the Championship I guess. Traci Cecco and her husband Rick Cecco are both from my hometown. Rick Cecco races in the 4 stroke A class and came in 3rd overall this year, the 4 stroke A class is a one of the harder classes to race. Rick writes GNCC related articles for ATVSport. I have 6 top sponsered GNCC riders living withing 20 miles from me. Chris Borich second place overall and second place in the Pro class. Rides for Laeger\East Coast ATV Traci Cecco tied first place in the Womens class. Alba sponsered. Rick Cecco 3rd place overall in the 4 Stroke A class. Rides a Cannondale Tyson Thomas, injured this year, first place overall in the 2 Stroke A class last year. Nac's sponsership. Mike Lucas lives 20 miles from me, placed 5th overall in the Open A class, Mike rides a Banshee. The frame Im using on my yellow Banshee, I bought from Mike. Todd Rothermel also from my hometown, came in 4th overalll in the 2 Stroke A class. Jason Dunkleburger comes from the same little town where Coal Hill is located. Treverton is a small town of about 2500, my whole family is from Treverton. Dunk races GNC Pro Production class, he's not a GNCC racer but Dunkleburger is a top contender in the GNC pro class. I love the GNCC series, followed every race this year. Matt Smiley got the first Pro win for the new YFZ. Traci Cecco raced the last 2 races on a new YFZ and won both of em, she even won the morning races overall on the YFZ..... she beat all the boys that morning. Ballance raced a YFZ in the second from last race and came in 14th. Borich runs an LRD powered 250r. Quote

Killer_Shee Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Tim Farr races GNC, thats MX racing. Meat, Who said anything about Tim Farr racing in the GNCC series. I was unaware the GNCC didn't change the displacement rule, I was under the impression that they were governed by the AMA/ATVA just like the GNC series. The GNC series did not change the rule on displacement, that was implemented by the AMA/ATVA and effects every sanctioned race for the 2004 season. Quote
Killer_Shee Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Actually after reading the rule book for GNCC, there is no displacement limit in the Pro-Production class. So theoretically, you could run a Raptor or a V-Force in the pro-production class. Hmmmmm............ I was not aware of that! This is from the GNCC website. Q: What class can the Kawasaki V-Force 700 ATV compete in? A: The V-Force is eligible for the Utility Unlimited Class (for automatic tranny quads without racks), as well as the standard classes such as First Year Racer, the 4-Stroke Novice Classes, 4-Stroke Stock, Open A and B, 4-Stroke A and B, and Pro and Pro Production. Banshee crazy kid Posted December 2, 2003 Author Report Posted December 2, 2003 I assumed BCK was asking if Tim Farr would be seen racing on these Speed channel GNCC races. Maybe he was referring to GNC\MX, but I though he was asking if Farr will be shown on these GNCC shows. whoops i was trying to say GNC lol, hold on im gonna edit Quote
