Tuning The Banshee Soon, What Should I Start With

excess

Recommended Posts

I got a bunch of new parts and just wanted to know what jets I should start with. Here is a list of the mods

Toomey T5

Clamp On Filters on Carbs

V Force Reeds

Timing Advance 4+

These are the only new mods I did that affect jetting. I know all bikes are different but I need an idea with what to start with so I can mess with it little by little.

I am located at Sea Level.

Start w/ 320 mains, needle in the 3rd or 4th clip from the top,(try both and decide), stock or 27.5 pilots depending on your shee and temperature....fine tune the pilots w/ the air screws....the pilots will affect the throttle response, so figure out which one works best for you. We get A LOT of different jetting w/ toomey pipes. Most others are fairly close....Trial and error... let us know what you come up w/. Any other help, just yell!!

I agree with Banchetta, but I'd start richer; 340 mains, 30 pilots, airscrews 1.5 turns out, needle in the 2nd clip from the top (assuming 32:1 premix and 60-80 degrees F). Should be a safely rich starting point, and you can dial it in from there. Good luck.
