JDP421 Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Hey guys looking for some Info on my 4mm cub , recently I had a piston problem inside one side of the cylinder and left some scaring can you guys give me someone info? I was told by two builders I should be ok to run it still Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Phelps Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 lol first thing i would do is stop using the builders you called and 2nd i would send the cylinder off for replating. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 KOC would run that with a quick dremel hone. 1 Quote
Deadbeat Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 wich builders said that was ok to run Quote
possum Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 I got mine just like that and ran it for 3 years. hone , hand sand, run it! a couple builders told me the same they told you. Quote
registered user Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 knock down any sharp edges or high spots. diamond bits cut through nik pretty good. most people dont have the right tools but maybe a local shop could do it. theres a chance it might start flaking but if all the edges are chamfered pretty good im sure you would be fine 1 Quote
sleeper06 Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Against my better judgment I have put people's shit back together with some scarring like that, I had a hone run through it, re chamfered everything and it was fine , if I were u I would have someone at least hone it just a lil to put a scratch in it , so it lubes properly and seats new rings properly. On the other hand if it was my personal cylinder I would reshape the ports a lil and replate it Quote
