bigweav81 Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 If it will fire up like you say, and stay running. You may want to check out your choke plunger. Quote
Leroy1911 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Report Posted January 17, 2015 No it won't stay running it just fires on the fuel I spray in the carbs then dies Quote
Larry's Shee Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 Correct float bowl on correct carb? Slides in correct carb? Double check float level. Fuel going into bowls? Quote
oldskool Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 This^^^ and make sure pilot jets are clean, sync carbs.Where are air screws at? Welcome to BHQ Quote

You may want to check out your choke plunger. you dont know shit so dont tell ppl to check their chokes --leroy- pull out the poilot jets and clean them , bet it will start and stay running, then, the pilot jets are the small straight screw driver jets, these always get clogged after setting first thing to check anytime you clean a carb- Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 18, 2015 Report Posted January 18, 2015 Have you checked that the old petcock is actually flowing fuel? Often old Un checked ones have a strainer that sits inside the tank. They can get pretty goobered up. Just tug it and be thorough about your fuel habits so as to not get dirt in it. Quote
Leroy1911 Posted January 19, 2015 Author Report Posted January 19, 2015 The petcock is cleaned but I will check my pilot jets Thanks for the help Quote
