atvrider85 Posted December 25, 2014 Report Posted December 25, 2014 I made some changes to my banshee this year and added some hp to it, dynoed at 63 hp. It has 30mm pwk carbs, vforce 4 reeds, port work by fast racing, +4 timing and T 5 pipe other than that the bike is stock. My question is when i made all the engine changes i also added new 22" 12 haulers to the bike with the gearing at 14/41. I have made a couple trips to the dunes with it and it seems to pull the paddles ok but when drag racing when i go to launch the front takes off for the sky. I'm adding a +4 swingarm to it this winter but i was wondering if i should change the gearing. Any advise would be help full. Also 300 lb rider. Quote
JTmachining Posted December 25, 2014 Report Posted December 25, 2014 The longer swing arm will help a lot. IDK ur RO but jus try it and see how it does. Quote
atvrider85 Posted December 25, 2014 Author Report Posted December 25, 2014 I would say the roll out is some where around 74. Quote
special06shee Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 Thats alot of tire for that motor. Specially @300lbs 2 Quote
atvrider85 Posted December 26, 2014 Author Report Posted December 26, 2014 Would the swingarm help more or smaller paddles. Quote
Burke Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 they'll both help, but I'd try to borrow some tires to test... they are expensive to try if you have to buy a bunch Quote
atvrider85 Posted December 26, 2014 Author Report Posted December 26, 2014 I have a set of smaller sand stars i could try. Quote
Burke Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 those are a totally different style of tire... I'd see if you can try some 21x12x8 9 & 10 paddle haulers Quote
atvrider85 Posted December 26, 2014 Author Report Posted December 26, 2014 (edited) Ok i will get a swingarm coming and i think a can rent a set of tires at little saraha powersports in waynoka. But you think the gearing is good. Edited December 26, 2014 by atvrider85 Quote
5150banshee Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 I'd try a set of 22x11x8 8 paddle haulers if possible see what that does for ya, I have a modquad +6 swinger for sale it's powder coated black and selling for 250 plus shipping. Good condition carrier not included Quote
Wheeler Peeler Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) I would try a 44 or 46 rear.can you even pull 5th gear with the gearing your running? The +4 will help. I have almost the exact same setup. I run 14- 44 and a + 4 and launch in second. But I only way 155lb. Edited January 7, 2015 by Wheeler Peeler Quote
Wheeler Peeler Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 O my paddles are 12 paddle extremes 72 rollout. Quote
BANSHEEBEEFM2M Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Go +4 or +6 22-11-8 72 ro 9 or paddle SLS. Ditch the t5s n go CPI or scp that should put u around or at 70 hp Quote
