satts Posted November 29, 2014 Report Posted November 29, 2014 Who has their rear brake control by a lever on the bars? Might wanna try it ,how do you find it? Quote
rubberneck Posted November 29, 2014 Report Posted November 29, 2014 im assuming this is for a drag bike with rear only brakes yes? all you need is a longer hose to run from rear caliper to original front master Quote
satts Posted November 29, 2014 Author Report Posted November 29, 2014 No its for a dunner. I have never used the rears tho.i know the fonts have more stopping power Quote
rubberneck Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 this has got to be a troll job Quote
sheerider11 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Wait, do you want to keep the fronts and rears? Quote
oldskool Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 I think he wants it plumbed for one lever working front and back brake. Stick with Yamaha design Quote
satts Posted December 1, 2014 Author Report Posted December 1, 2014 Lil .no troll here. What i mean is i never use the rear brake with the pedal. Was wondering how it is to use the rear with the lever on the bars. Or what oldschool said above is a thought Quote
rubberneck Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 that would be a horrible idea, cars have proportioning valves to control front to rear brake bias. if you hook them both up to 1 master i see 2 huge problems. 1 if you apply enough pressure to get the fronts to work effectively you are going to be locking the rear constantly and 2. i doubt the stock master cylinder has enough volume to control the 3rd caliper. Stick with the way it was designed my .02 Quote
satts Posted December 1, 2014 Author Report Posted December 1, 2014 Yeah in sure your right ^^^ with both explanations. Still going to try a long branded line from the front master cylinders under to the rear caliper Quote
