dobrovolny90 Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 Hello guys am new to the banshee world and just have some general questions. I have a 2003 banshee fmf fattys, reed andk&n thats it. Anyway my question is i bought the carb rebuild kits cleaned everything spotless and took it out and rode it for hours and ran great. Well today i took it out and ran it and 1-5 ran awesome and hit 6th and just fall on its face. Any input would be helpful. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 Have you seen this particular combo run solid before doing work? Or is this a sort of running bike that you happened to pick up needing work? Are there any internal mods that you know of? What is the current jetting? If you pulled out jets that work with those upgrades and replaced them with the ones from the rebuild, that should be your first place to start. Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 What was weather conditions from this time to last time? Quote
Larry's Shee Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 X-2 ^^^ Rebuild kits come with STOCK jets. Even with few mods you have they should be larger. Compare the numbers on the jets. Also, as the weather gets colder you have to increase jetting. Quote
salmon_slayer06 Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 correct jetting is the cheapest and biggest improvement that can be done to these. If its off you can ruin the motor. You'll be needing some special tools in order to rebuild it than.... Quote
Ghostbanshee84 Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Hey just bought an 06 banshee off a friend he bought it brand new and only rode it twice on the street never off road. Was wondering what maintenance I should do it hasn't been ridden since 07. And I paid 3000$ was it a good deal. New to quads always rode dirt bikes Quote
Sandking Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Clean the carbs change trans and radiator fluid and clean air filter. Then go ride. Quote
