Skitso559 Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Hey guys just have a question im 209 feet above sea level which jets do you think I would need, hopfully the jet kit comes with the perfect jets, but whats the chances of that..right.. Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Since those pipes are made at 721 ft, they probably have a pretty good idea on the jetting. read up on the install http://www.toomey.com/phocadownload/install/tr6-kit-installation-instructions.pdf BTW, I have T-5's with only a coolhead and 21cc domes and really like it. Skitso559 Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 ive been thinking about cool head domes, not sure what they do though and if they would be of help on my bike... but okay ill read up thanks for the help Quote
Skitso559 Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 wow so much steps to putting pipes on and rejetting, I thought it would be as simple as take old pipes off put new ones on and rejet and done... but its nothing like that... Quote

Actually, it's exactly just like that. Not difficult at all. To clarify, I really like the Toomeys, and would like to try some T-6's. The coolhead I would say doesn't offer enough extra cooling for the money and a shaved stocker would be a better buy. Quote

Skitso559 Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 actuall its telling me I need to drain my coolant and what not and all this other stuff when it comes t carb and stuff... ts ging to be a long weekend next week lol Quote
Bennett131 Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Draining coolant to put pipes on? Wtf? Quote
hercalmighty Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 The reason for draining the coolant is to rotate or flip around the lower radiator hose so it clears the pipes. Quote
Bennett131 Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Ah got ya, I guess the reason I never knew that is I always put the cv4 hoses on at the same time. 1 Quote

I see so that a must huh, no way around that I guess well when they get here in in for a big learning experience there's no way I'm going to pay 200-300 to have my bike jetting and the pipes put on, no way in hell.
