shee1992
My bike started cutting up or breaking up about a month ago. I was pretty sure its electrical so i have replaced coil, wires, caps, stator, cdi, flywheel, compression is good and its still doing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Larry's Shee
That ^^^ is a good start. New plugs? Clean carbs? Set pick-up gap? Ohm pick-up coil? What brand stator did you have, and brand of new? New plug boots with new coil? Does it happen at certain rpms/throttle pos, or all through the range? sheerider1026
The air has gotten a lot cooler here. May want to rule out a jetting issue. Also maybe a broken reed?
shee1992
Not jetting guys, it does it at every rpm when a load is on it. In nutreal it revs as it should. It had a ricky stator and i replaced it with oem. I replaced coil, wires and cdi from dyna, caps are oem. But i have swapped all these parts from my other bike that runs and no change. Only part i could not swap was the cdi cuz this bike is the newer plug and my other are not. Also air leak test was perfect.
bluebanshee98
caps are oem.. are they used oem caps? In my experience when I had a high end miss after chasing jetting Ect new plug caps fixed the problem. Couldn't hurt to replace them. Not expensive and will just help if anything. Don't get the junk ngk ones. Get new oem or fast has some good caps you can buy

shee1992
Leakdown done no leaks and caps are oem new and i have even swapped the entire coil setup off another bike and no luck. Maybe i got a bad cdi right out the box
sleeper06
Do u own a digital ohm meter? If so stop part swapping and start testing. I have also had a motor that held a leakdown test cold But once it ran it would blow coolant by orings in head I found a crimped oring
sleeper06
Remember just because you put new caps on doesn't mean they will ohm out correctly , I think every bike I work on has bad wires or caps. When you did pressure test how did you do it
