sr73087 Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 I was going to be replacing the front and rear pads. My question is, can I simply swap the pads in? Typically on cars the correct way is to either cut or replace the rotors, not sure if its the same. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 It's definitely the same. However if you notice that by some miricle the rotors are still smooth and not all gouged, I'd say run them. If you need some rotors get ahold of JDS for some killer rotors. Quote
Evans Ward Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 Your new pads should bed in fine with the existing rotors if not warped. Quote
sr73087 Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 Is there a minimum thickness spec out there anywhere like cars? Quote
sheerider11 Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 It should be stamped on there. Your not cutting these tho. Hook up a dial gauge and check for run out. If there's deep gouges, replace them. If there warped replace them. There fairly cheap to just be chucked in the scrap bin. Quote
sr73087 Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 Is there somewhere I can get them fairly cheap? Because everywhere I am looking they are atleast $50 each. Quote
