Buddy of mine is stumped. with a power drill turning over the flywheel the bike will have great spark until it speeds up and loses spark. We've tried a working cdi box, he has a new coil and plugs and wires, no tors and no parking brake. Cleaned ground by cdi box. He has tried 2 stators( one brand new and one fairly new ) that he has hooked up and they both do the same thing. Just looking for another lead to figure it out

I'm pretty sure they are aftermarket ones. The pick up gap is good. He's turning it with a drill bc he knows it's not gonna run right bc it loses spark( it will start up but won't rev up ) he has a new coil,wires n caps on it

Does it still have the parking brake? And or the wire still in the harness for it? Check for a green with yellow striker wire at the CDI and remove that from the CDI plug...then give it a whirl
