OutlawPat Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 My Shee will not shift into third gear. It goes into first and second ok, but won't go into third. Does anyone have any ideas why? Now it won't come out of first. Any ideas? Quote
jriffe23 Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 check trans oil for metal shavings. then let us know. Quote
OutlawPat Posted August 12, 2014 Author Report Posted August 12, 2014 I just changed the oil on it. No shavings Quote
trickedcarbine Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Pull the clutch cover. Work the shift lever and watch what's happening. If everything looks kosher, then you'll have to split the cases and probably find trashed forks. Quote
OutlawPat Posted August 13, 2014 Author Report Posted August 13, 2014 It shifted fine, and then I changed the case on the one side of the engine. I think something isn't lining up in there. We'll pop the case off tomorrow and check everything Quote
trickedcarbine Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) Cases need to be a matched set! I don't care what the guy on ebay says! Edited August 13, 2014 by trickedcarbine 1 Quote

cyclewizzard Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 I meant when you install the new parts you will have to adjust the eccentric pin so that shifter Paul or the shifter arm has even throw on each side of the shift drum pins. And the Bikes name is stitch. Quote
sprinklerman Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 It's a " pawl".not a "paul". I think that's what he was saying. Haha Quote
cyclewizzard Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 Sorry I talk to text and I never prof read it lol Quote

We'll pop the case off tomorrow and check everything What we've got here is failure to communicate. The cover over the clutch is called a clutch cover. Not a case. The cases are the main engine part that splits top and bottom. Quote
