I'm not sure why I find this funny, but I do. What difference does it really make what the Number is? If you pay $500 and lose ANY power wouldn't that be bad? I'm pretty sure it was supposed to make MORE power and have a broader curve. Didn't see either of those. I know you didn't mean it in this context but it almost sounds like being down hp from a stocker isn't a big deal. After money spent. Funny. I see it as being a pretty big deal. Ya I jumped Into the car headed to the movies after posting that and called myself a dumbass. Figured that's what he meant. He's smarter than I am so I shoulda known. JUAN we've discussed this before. It matters to me. I'm just not dying to tear it apart at the moment. I've got 3 bikes I ride. This one runs as it is. When I get time I'll dig into it. Bit it's not the end of the world. You think since it's been 3 or more years now that if I hurry up and tear it apart Jim's gonna be all over workin with me to figure it out? Ya thought so. Quote

registered user Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 a well developed cylinder i can see a amatuer grinding away a few hp but i thought that passion guy had been around for a few days so it doesnt make sense. although i knew a guy in cali that ported cr500 for 20yrs and never could make one run any better than a stocker so i guess anythings possible. when you take it apart be sure and get pics. It's been a year or two since I've seen inside the thing. But I remember it being pretty. I also remember him telling me it would be a work of art when I got it back. Everything looked good from what I remember. But looking pretty don't make ponies I guess. Quote
