Bennett131 Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 It would be wise to check the size of your bore first, and make sure its not egg shaped. Quote
mattycotter Posted July 29, 2014 Author Report Posted July 29, 2014 Bore is all good got it checked out Quote
Bennett131 Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Ok well the bore may be good, but it may not be the standard bore size. Saying it's all good doesn't mean shit.... if it's a 65 mm bore and you order a 64 mm piston it won't fly. Quote

sprinklerman Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Bore is all good got it checked outThe odds that the bore wore to the exact size you need for your new set of pistons are astronomical. Quote
troyzstang Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Always order pistons after you have your machine shop check to ensure fitment. Better yet have them order for you. Just my experience Quote
Larry's Shee Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Neither have 10hp piston skirt porting...would not hit. IIRC it was only 7hp That being said, I have only once put a new piston in an old hoe. Still regret it, even though never had any problems. I think I would get a second opinion on the bore. They should be measured in six places. Front to back, side to side. Top, middle, bottom. That will tell out of round and taper. Have to admit that's a pretty economical kit. Slightly more than one Wiseco. Quote

shanYE west Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 I use WSM forged pistons in my cubs. I only use wiseco if I have to. The WSM cast pistons are a good alt. to OEM. The pistons are only as good as the person installing them! Can't stress enough that you make sure you use the proper bore spec for the piston being used! Quote
Coupelx Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Some fast shit right there. They for sale? 1 Quote
Bennett131 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 I like the big chunk missing on the top of the piston too. Is that for reduced weight? Quote
