black sunshine Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Recent rebuild, trying to get her going.... fired it up and noticed the choke would race the engine when warm, instead of "choking" it out. Cleaned the carbs, adjusted throttle cable, ect. I figured the cleaning would help, and it did, but still have something jazzed. Stock carbs with TORS removal kit. HELP!!! Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 The choke is actually a fuel enricher. If it is taking it and not drowning itself you may have an air leak. Did you do a leak down test on your new build? And are the bowls on the correct sides? Quote

edgehanger Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 I bet the bowls are mixed up. The bowl for the "choke Carb" is different from the other. The one for the choke side has a jet in it. Quote
