tdod101 Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Looking to get another set of pods, possibly with outerwears. Will buy new if I have to but if I can save a few bucks for good ones here than so be it Quote
4psnu Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Why would you risk your motor running knock offs?? Quote
4psnu Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 eBay has good deal on K&N pods and outerwear. Quote
Glenyboy Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 I wouldn't say they were knock offs, more in the style of a k&n Quote
special06shee Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 If it doesent say k&n on the back, its a cheap ass knock off. Junk. Even k&n filters are junk for anything other then sand. Foam filters are the only way to go for a trail bike. Quote
4psnu Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Risk your motor? I've ran em on all my junk. And a lot more people have as well. You oil and clean em like you would a k&n they work just as good. Get a clue There must a reason they are so cheap... You think about that?? Quote
driftingbanshee Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Haha you guys. K&n you are mostly paying for the name. Paper filters that are marked no brand filter just as good as them given they are a paper mesh. oil and throw an outerwear on them and you save yourself a 80 - 100 bucks. If you are in dust then go to a twin stage foam Edited June 2, 2014 by driftingbanshee Quote

I've had issues with the knockoffs. So have several others. Some have not had issues as well..so the general concensus is that the knockoffs have manufacturing inconsistencies. Nightmare Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 I run the knockoffs but only for 300" shit. I'd probably run uni's for anything else. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk Quote

sheerider11 Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 I have K&N on my bike with oil. No dust in carbs. Girlfriend gas knock offs with oil. Bell of carb is covered. Quote
sprinklerman Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 I have K&N on my bike with oil. No dust in carbs. Girlfriend gas knock offs with oil. Bell of carb is covered. I've heard of that happening. My issue was the filter media was too tightly woven and it cost me several HP. Others have mentioned what you just did. That's why I said " inconsistencies in manufacturing". Sent from a van down by the river Quote
