camatv Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 i'd lean towards the triples. i dont think your going to be working oil so much your going to need a resy. the trip spring will give you a nice plush inital hit and in the tight trails your probably going to like that more.. just my opinion. (WORKS DUALS) I found the the small spring takes up the majority of the travel. The only way a third spring will be effective is in a long travel application. Quote

I have a bike with ELKAS as well as a WORKS dual rate bike. If the triple rates worked better.....I'd still have them. Quote

I havn't tried anything but works on my banshee then I bought my 450 new in 03' which has TCS now.. Got a set of dual rate works sitting here now.. I have to rebuild them though... Bladders are junk. I'm right at 200lbs and I ride hard enough to max my front suspension out on a very regular basis. We just found a place to ride that has about 800 acres of sand, but we had to ride through a bit of mud to get there. After about 10 minutes, the dried mud was completely gone from the bottom front of the frame. It looked like it'd been wiped off from bottoming it out in the sand. It also stays above 90 degrees down here, so that has me leaning towards the resis. Quote
shanYE west Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 I'm not a shock expert by any means.. But I've had a few shocks where the resi actually didn't have any oil in it. It was just a gas chamber. My axis rear is the same way. I've only rode air struts though.. Air struts FTW!! Quote
