And I thought this place help mother fuckers out

Agua and some of your Oil of Olay body wash should work fine.  ;)

Take it easy with the luffa though.

There are small metal chunks all over them from when the piston blew ..it was just a simple question to see what other have done to clean them up..no need to be cock suckers over it.

if it's molten aluminum….not only is there a good chance the reeds got some hot spots from them……but if any of that pops free and flies into your rebuilt motor…..your going to end up with little chucks of aluminum rattling around in crank bearings or wedging into piston/rings.

So YES…you wanna either clean them WELL (Gas or the milder Brake Cleaner) or just replace them.

You're going to want to do a full teardown. If you got stuff like that on your reeds…..your going to want to get all of it out of your crank case, crank bearings, and pipes as well. Otherwise you can expect rebuild #2 to come very soon.
