dompower Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 hi!!! I'll introduce myself later, i'm short in time. I buy a streamline hydraulic clutch for my banshee last year, and I just decided, after few hesitation, to install it. I've tried last year but i got some problem. and... I got the same problem this afternoon. The cylinder don't travel enough to make the clutch release!!! it's well bleeded... I think I adjust it the wright way, i'm almost at the end of all the adjustement. does somebody got it? it's running well? what's wrong with me!? haha thanks!! fast intro: (I'm in sept-iles, Quebec, canada, i'ts my second banshee, 2001 tuned by GSF, 51 lbs/ft, converted to black plastic, keihin carbs, big porting, and I'm train conductor) Quote
special06shee Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 Had 2 buddies try the hydro clutch set up. both of them took it off shortly there after.. Quote
dompower Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 I don't think i'm gonna do 1 miles with it. Don't want to blow my clutch for that... Quote
sstaton1983 Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=137456 link with pics to help.. make sure the clutch arm is adjusted so the pointer lines up with the arrow on the case. maybe you have a problem with the clutch assembly its self. Was there alot of slack in the clutch cable before you took it apart? Quote
dompower Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 Thanks for the link! No slack that much... But with the hydro theres none... Quote
sstaton1983 Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 If there is any air left in the system the piston will not travel as far as it should, are you 100% all the air is bled out? Quote
dompower Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 I'll bleed it more but it seem well done. Some says that it was a PITA. The clutch was fine with the cable so the problem is not the clutch assembly Quote
dompower Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 Ok. I'll try harder to bleed the master. It may be my problem!! Thanks a lot Quote
dompower Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 Ok! I wasn't sure for that. I'll try to work on that this morning Quote
dompower Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 Yes I know what is it, but thanks for the help!!! I'm going to the garage right now to try this! Quote
dompower Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 Do it completely free your wheel, in 1st gear with the clutch engaged? I asjust it and bleed it. Clutch off its seem normal, the wheel are blocked, and there still a little resistance with cluch engaged. Quote
dompower Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) No its not running, its on summer preparation mode So i think i got it!! With a looot of adjustement. Ill be careful in the first run. Thnak for all the fast help guys!! Edited April 3, 2014 by dompower Quote
