christy
I recently bought a 1997 Banshee with no TORS and no parking brake. Problem is the bike always seems to run as if the parking brake is still on. It bogs out at a higher rpm, just like when you forget to release the parking brake and try and run a banshee. Choke is in good working condition and the bike starts with one kick. The green/yellow wire from the cdi box is disconnected (actually it's cut and tapped) but I have another 1997 banshee that runs fine and I switched the cdi box to see if that was the problem and it still ran as if the parking brake was on. Looking for any ideas of what it could be. Must be one dumb thing I'm missing. Thanks for any help. Christy
TroyBrock
That kinda sounds like a jetting issue not a electrical issue. What green/yellow wire are you talking about? Have you disconnected the TORS box?
03DMshee
Pull harness and eliminate any wires that are not supposed to be there...just cause tors were removed doeant mean they removed the wires right...id start there...but usually when the rev limiter is kicking in the bike dont go anywhere.... NYUK
at high rpm, you can ride it but it breaks up on the big end, or revving it sitting still. make sure theres no water in the stator cover.

RadarRacing
Plug caps or jetting. Plugs black as hell?
2sTrokeLove
Just had this problem, and I think loco has before, it was the Cdi box solved it.
