Coreydgonzalez Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Ok so I press the throttle lightly and it revs a little, then I press it a little more and it revs high and loud and stays like that anywhere from 10 seconds to 30 seconds with out going down. I have adjusted the throttle cable down and up and I go too low it turns off if I go to high it only makes it worse, I can't seem to find a inbetween point. So do I have to adjust the crappy tors, or is it something else? Quote
sstaton1983 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Sounds like it's hanging up at the slides or cable. Make sure the slides are not backwards. Maybe you should do a leak down in case your leaning out. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Do the slides go up and down freely and not stick? Take the air box off and look down the carbs and watch them as its running. But it sounds like an air leak to me. Check around quick with some soapy water in a spray bottle while its running. Look for bubbles. Spray it heavy all over the intake, carbs ect...check back with what or if you you find anything. Quote
Coreydgonzalez Posted March 12, 2014 Author Report Posted March 12, 2014 Yeah when I synced the carbs I made sure the slides were slapping back down but I will try what you guys have suggested and let you know. Quote
sstaton1983 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Who wants to start taking bets? I say it's a carb boot cracked.. Right side. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 -Make sure the pilot and air screw aren't way lean -Check that slides are moving freely -Lube/Adjust/Inspect throttle cable -Leak Down (look for air leaks) Quote
